1 John Chapter 3, Verse 23

23: και αυτη εστιν η εντολη αυτου ινα πιστευσωμεν τω ονοματι του υιου αυτου ιησου χριστου και αγαπωμεν αλληλους καθως εδωκεν εντολην ημιν
23: And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the
name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave
us commandment.
23: And this is his commandment: That we should believe in the name of
his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as he hath given commandment
unto us.
And this is his commandment. His commandment, by way of eminence; the leading, principal thing which he enjoins on us; the commandment which lies at the foundation of all true obedience.
That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ. "Mk 16:16".
And love one another, etc. This follows from the other, and hence they are mentioned as together constituting his commandment. "Jn 13:36".
