1 Samuel Chapter 22, Verse 17

17: And he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father
shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I
shall be next unto thee; and that also Saul my father knoweth.
17: And the king said to the messengers that stood about him: Turn,
and kill the priests of the Lord, for their hand is with David, because
they knew that he was fled, and they told it not to me. And the
king'sservants would not put forth their hands against the priests of
the Lord.
17: And the king said to the footmen that attended on him, Draw nigh and slay the priests of the Lord, because their hand [is] with David, and because they knew that he fled, and they did not inform me. But the servants of the king would not lift their hands to fall upon the priest of the Lord.
