2 Timothy Chapter 4, Verse 4

4: και απο μεν της αληθειας την ακοην αποστρεψουσιν επι δε τους μυθους εκτραπησονται
4: And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall
be turned unto fables.
4: And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be
turned unto fables.
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth. That is, the people themselves will turn away from the truth. It does not mean that the teachers would turn them away by the influence of their instructions.
And shall be turned unto fables. "1 Tim 1:4".
