  • I would like to protect my investment of time in contributing to BibleWiki. There is some risk of the Wiki vanishing at some point from a variety of causes. I'd like to get a copy of all of the content or, at least, the content I contributed. It is pretty tedious to go to each page. It occurs to me that an archive or backup may already exist or it should be created. If that backup were made available to users for download, then we could each have an archive of the Wiki. As an example, see this other wiki: http://wiki.tcl.tk/20412 . --Buchsk 14:26, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
  • A basic question: What is the plan of attack for the commentary pages? I started with Jude 1 and noted that it was seeded with text from the ICC and Barnes commentaries. Is the plan to leave those intact and add further commentary or is all the commentary intended to be integrated into a single flow for the verse? I believe the note at the top of the page: "This entry includes text from multiple sources which has not yet been edited together. Please help by tidying up the content." suggests the latter. I want to be sure that that is a correct understanding before I start hacking into it. Perhaps the answer to this question should be placed on the virgin Guidelines page when it is answered.
Answer: You are correct: it's the latter. We have pulled in texts from various sources just as a starting point. Each verse should end up with a good coherent commentary of its own, presumably split into various sections for textual analysis, translation issues, references, key historical interpretations etc etc. --Tmtm 12:52, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
