Daniel Chapter 4, Verse 27
From BibleWiki
27: Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and
break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by
shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy
tranquillity.
27: And the king answered, and said: Is not this the great Babylon,
which I have built, to be the seat of the kingdom, by the strength of my
power, and in the glory of my excellence?
27: Therefore, O king, let my counsel please thee, and atone for thy sins by alms, and [thine] iniquities by compassion on the poor: it may be God will be long-suffering to thy trespasses.
