Elizur was a Reubenite and the son of Shedeur. He was appointed to assist Moses in taking the census of Israel (Num 1:5), and later was appointed leader of the children of Reuben (Num 2:10) and presented an offering at the dedication of the tabernacle (Num 7:30ff).
