Exodus Chapter 4, Verse 17

17: And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou
shalt do signs.
17: And this rod that was turned into a serpent thou shalt take in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt work miracles.
The plural "signs" points to the penal wonders that followed; for only one of the three signs given to Moses was performed with the rod.
