HAZEROTH (Jewish Encyclopedia)
From BibleWiki
A station of the Israelites in the desert (Num 11:35, xii. 16, xxxiii. 17; Deut 1:1). It was at Hazeroth that Miriam, having slandered her brother Moses, was stricken with leprosy (Num 12:1-11). The geographical position of Hazeroth is indicated in Deut 1:1—in the Arabah opposite the Red Sea. It is identified with the modern 'Ain al-Khaḍra, on the route from Mt. Sinai to 'Aḳaba.
