Hadoram

Meaning: is exalted

  1. Hadoram (son of Tou): sent by his father to congratulate David on his victory over Hadarezer
  2. Hadoram (son of Joktan): founder of an Arab tribe
  3. One who was "over the tribute;" i.e., "over the levy." He was stoned by the Israelites after they had revolted from Rehoboam (2Chr 10:18). Called also Adoram (2 Sam 20:24) and Adoniram (1 Kg 4:6).
