John Chapter 10, Verse 13

13: ο δε μισθωτος φευγει οτι μισθωτος εστιν και ου μελει αυτω περι των προβατων
13: The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not
for the sheep.
13: And the hireling flieth, because he is a hireling: and he hath no
care for the sheep.
Because he is a hireling. Because he regards only his wages. He feels no special interest in the flock.
