John Chapter 8, Verse 42

42: ειπεν ουν αυτοις ο ιησους ει ο θεος πατηρ υμων ην ηγαπατε αν εμε εγω γαρ εκ του θεου εξηλθον και ηκω ουδε γαρ απ εμαυτου εληλυθα αλλ εκεινος με απεστειλεν
42: Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love
me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of
myself, but he sent me.
42: Jesus therefore said to them: If God were your Father, you would
indeed love me. For from God I proceeded and came. For I came not of
myself: but he sent me.
If God were your Father. If you had the spirit of God, or love to him, or were worthy to be called his children.
Ye would love me. Jesus was "the brightness of the Father's glory and the express image of his person," Heb 1:3. "Every one that loveth him that begat, loveth him also that is begotten of him," 1Jn 5:1.
