Joshua Chapter 17, Verse 1

1: There was also a lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the
firstborn of Joseph; to wit, for Machir the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead: because he was a man of war,
therefore he had Gilead and Bashan.
1: And this lot fell to the tribe of Manasses for he is the firstborn
of Joseph to Machir the firstborn of Manasses the father of Galaad, who
was a warlike man, and had for possession Galaad and Basan.
1: And the borders of the tribe of the children of Manasse, (for he [was] the first-born of Joseph,) [assigned] to Machir the first-born of Manasse the father of Galaad, for he was a warrior, [were] in the land of Galaad and of Basan.
