Joshua Chapter 7, Verse 3

3: And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all
the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go
up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour
thither; for they are but few.
3: And returning, they said to him: Let not all the people go up, but
let two or three thousand men go, and destroy the city: why should all
the people be troubled in vain, against enemies that are very few?
3: And they returned to Joshua, and said to him, Let not all the people go up, but let about two or three thousand men go up and take the city by siege: carry not up thither the whole people, for [the enemy] are few.
