Lamentations Chapter 2, Verse 1

1: How hath the LORD covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in
his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty
of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his
anger!
1: Aleph. How hath the Lord covered with obscurity the daughter of
Sion in his wrath! how hath he cast down from heaven to the earth the
glorious one of Israel, and hath not remembered his footstool in the day
of his anger.
1: ALEPH. How has the Lord darkened in his wrath the daughter of Sion! he has cast down the glory of Israel from heaven to earth, and has not remembered his footstool.
