Lois
From BibleWiki
Meaning: "agreeable" or "desirable"
The mother of Eunice, and grandmother of Timothy, she is the only woman ever referred to explicitly in the Bible as "grandmother". There is no information available in the Bible about Lois's husband. As the name Eunice is of Greek origin, it is generally assumed that he was Greek as well. His absence is probably indicative that Lois was a widow. Paul called the faith of Lois and Eunice "unfeigned." The Greek word from which it is translated means real, genuine, sincere and without hypocrisy.
