Luke Chapter 11, Verse 42

42: αλλ ουαι υμιν τοις φαρισαιοις οτι αποδεκατουτε το ηδυοσμον και το πηγανον και παν λαχανον και παρερχεσθε την κρισιν και την αγαπην του θεου ταυτα εδει ποιησαι κακεινα μη αφιεναι
42: But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all
manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God:
these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other
undone.
42: But woe to you, Pharisees, because you tithe mint and rue and
every herb and pass over judgment and the charity of God. Now these
things you ought to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Rue. This is a small garden plant, and is used as a medicine. It has a rosy flower, a bitter, penetrating taste, and a strong smell.
