29: λεγει αυτω αβρααμ εχουσιν μωσεα και τους προφητας ακουσατωσαν αυτων
29: Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let
them hear them.
29: And Abraham said to him: They have Moses and the prophets. Let
them hear them.
They have Moses. The writings of Moses. The first five books of
the Bible.
The prophets. The remainder of the Old Testament. What the prophets had written.
Hear them. Hear them speak in the Scriptures. Read them, or hear them read in the synagogues, and attend to what they have delivered.
