21: και οτε επλησθησαν ημεραι οκτω του περιτεμειν το παιδιον και εκληθη το ονομα αυτου ιησους το κληθεν υπο του αγγελου προ του συλληφθηναι αυτον εν τη κοιλια
21: And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of
the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of
the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
21: And after eight days were accomplished, that the child should be
circumcised, his name was called JESUS, which was called by the angel
before he was conceived in the womb.
Eight {e} days, &c. This was the regular time for performing the rite of circumcision, Gen 17:12.
