35: (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.- edit KJV text
35: And thy own soul a sword shall pierce, that, out of many hearts thoughts may be revealed.— edit Douay text

That the thoughts, &c. This is connected with the preceding verse: "He shall be a sign, a conspicuous object to be spoken against, that the thoughts of many hearts may be made manifest" -- that is, that they might show how much they hated holiness.
