8: ο δε ηρωδης ιδων τον ιησουν εχαρη λιαν ην γαρ θελων εξ ικανου ιδειν αυτον δια το ακουειν πολλα περι αυτου και ηλπιζεν τι σημειον ιδειν υπ αυτου γινομενον
8: And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was
desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard
desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard
many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle
done by him.
8: And Herod seeing Jesus, was very glad: for he was desirous of a
long time to see him, because he had heard many things of him; and he
hoped to see some sign wrought by him.
