Luke Chapter 24, Verse 50
From BibleWiki
50: εξηγαγεν δε αυτους εξω εως εις βηθανιαν και επαρας τας χειρας αυτου ευλογησεν αυτους
50: And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his
hands, and blessed them.
50: And he led them out as far as Bethania: and lifting up his hands,
he blessed them.
Bethany was on the eastern declivity of the Mount of Olives, from which Jesus was taken up to heaven, Acts 1:12. Bethany was a favoured place. It was the abode of Martha, and Mary, and Lazarus, and Jesus delighted to be there. From this place, also, he ascended to his Father and our Father, and to his God and our God.
