48: ομοιος εστιν ανθρωπω οικοδομουντι οικιαν ος εσκαψεν και εβαθυνεν και εθηκεν θεμελιον επι την πετραν πλημμυρας δε γενομενης προσερρηξεν ο ποταμος τη οικια εκεινη και ουκ ισχυσεν σαλευσαι αυτην τεθεμελιωτο γαρ επι την πετραν
48: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and
laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the
stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake
it: for it was founded upon a rock.
48: He is like to a man building a house, who digged deep and laid the
foundation upon a rock. And when a flood came, the stream beat

founded on a rock.
