- καὶ á¼Î¾ÎµÏ€Î¿ÏεÏετο Ï€Ïὸς αá½Ï„ὸν πᾶσα ἡ Ἰουδαία χώÏα καὶ οἱ ἹεÏοσολυμῖται πάντες, καὶ á¼Î²Î±Ï€Ï„ίζοντο ὑπ ̓αá½Ï„οῦ á¼Î½ τῷ ἸοÏδάνῃ ποταμῷ á¼Î¾Î¿Î¼Î¿Î»Î¿Î³Î¿Ïμενοι τὰς á¼Î¼Î±Ïτίας αá½Ï„ῶν· [WHNU]
And all the country of Judea [lit. Judea country] and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him, and were baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.
- ὑπ ̓αá½Ï„οῦ is the ultimate agent of á¼Î²Î±Ï€Ï„ίζοντο.
- á¼Î¾ÎµÏ€Î¿ÏεÏετο is a singular verb with a neuter plural subject.
