Mark Chapter 13, Verse 1

1: και εκπορευομενου αυτου εκ του ιερου λεγει αυτω εις των μαθητων αυτου διδασκαλε ιδε ποταποι λιθοι και ποταπαι οικοδομαι
1: And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith
unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings
are here!
1: And as he was going out of the temple, one of his disciples said
to him: Master, behold what manner of stones and what buildings are
here.
The principal things in this chapter are fully explained in Matthew Chapter 24
What manner of stones. The stones here referred to were those used in the building of the temple, and the walls on the sides of Mount Moriah on which the temple stood. The temple was constructed of white marble, and the blocks were of a prodigious size. Josephus says that these stones were some of them fifty feet long, twenty-four broad, and sixteen in thickness.
