Mark Chapter 14, Verse 40

40: και υποστρεψας ευρεν αυτους παλιν καθευδοντας ησαν γαρ οι οφθαλμοι αυτων βεβαρημενοι και ουκ ηδεισαν τι αυτω αποκριθωσιν
40: And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their
eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.
40: And when he returned, he found them again asleep (for their eyes
were heavy): and they knew not what to answer him.
Neither wist they, etc. Neither knew they. They were so conscious of the impropriety of sleeping at that time, that they could not find any answer to give to the inquiry why they had done it.
