Matthew Chapter 13, Verse 26
From BibleWiki
26: οτε δε εβλαστησεν ο χορτος και καρπον εποιησεν τοτε εφανη και τα ζιζανια
26: But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit,
then appeared the tares also.
26: And when the blade was sprung up, and had brought forth fruit,
then appeared also the cockle.
Then appeared the tares also. That is, then was first discovered the tares. They had grown with the wheat, but so much like it as not to be noticed, till the wheat began to ripen. So, true piety and false hopes are not known by professions, by "blades," and leaves, and flowers, but by the fruit.
