46: ος ευρων ενα πολυτιμον μαργαριτην απελθων πεπρακεν παντα οσα ειχεν και ηγορασεν αυτον— edit Textus Receptus
46: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.- edit KJV text
46: Who when he had found one pearl of great price, went his way, and sold all that he had, and bought it.— edit Douay text

The question remains - who is the pearl and who is the Merchant. Often this is presented as a call to give all to attain the Kingdom of Heaven. But, that position is incorrect - Rather the Merchant is Jesus Christ who set aside all else to palce all of His concerns in one thing - Redemption.
