21: και εξελθων εκειθεν ο ιησους ανεχωρησεν εις τα μερη τυρου και σιδωνος
21: Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre
and Sidon.
21: And Jesus went from thence, and retired into the coast of Tyre
and Sidon.
This narrative is also found in Mk 7:24ff.
The coasts of Tyre and Sidon. These cities were on the sea-coast or shore of the Mediterranean. See Barnes "Mt 11:21".
He went there for the purpose of concealment, Mk 7:24 perhaps still to avoid Herod.
