12: τοτε συνηκαν οτι ουκ ειπεν προσεχειν απο της ζυμης του αρτου αλλ απο της διδαχης των φαρισαιων και σαδδουκαιων
12: Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the
leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of
the Sadducees.
12: Then they understood that he said not that they should beware of
the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Then understood they, etc. After this explanation, they immediately saw that he referred to their doctrines.
