36: γυμνος και περιεβαλετε με ησθενησα και επεσκεψασθε με εν φυλακη ημην και ηλθετε προς με
36: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was
in prison, and ye came unto me.
36: Naked, and you covered me: sick, and you visited me: I was in
prison, and you came to me.
Naked. Poorly clothed. Among the Jews they were called naked who were clad in poor raiment, or they who had on only the tunic or inner garment, without any outer garment. See Barnes "Mt 5:40, Acts 19:16; Mk 14:51f, Job 22:6, Isa 58:7.
