33: αποκριθεις δε ο πετρος ειπεν αυτω ει και παντες σκανδαλισθησονται εν σοι εγω ουδεποτε σκανδαλισθησομαι— edit Textus Receptus
33: Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.- edit KJV text
33: And Peter answering, said to him: Although all shall be scandalized in thee, I will never be scandalized.— edit Douay text

Peter answered - though all, etc. The word men is improperly inserted here by the translators. Peter meant only to affirm this of the disciples. This confidence of Peter was entirely characteristic. He was ardent, sincere, and really attached to his Master.

See Barnes "Lk 22:31ff".
