1: και εμβας εις το πλοιον διεπερασεν και ηλθεν εις την ιδιαν πολιν— edit Textus Receptus
1: And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.- edit KJV text
1: And entering into a boat, he passed over the water and came into his own city.— edit Douay text

And he entered into a ship, etc. Jesus acceded to the request of the people of Gadara, recrossed the lake of Gennesareth, and returned to his own city. By his own city is meant Capernaum, (Mk 2:1) the city which was at that time his home, or where he had his dwelling, See Mt 4:13. This same account, with some additional circumstances, is contained in Mk 2:3ff, and Lk 5:18ff.
