3: And he read therein before the street that was before the
water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and
the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of
all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.
3: And he read it plainly in the street that was before the water
gate, from the morning until midday, before the men, and the women, and
all those that could understand: and the ears of all the people were
attentive to the book.
3: And he read in it from the time of sun-rise to the middle of the day, before the men and the women; and they understood [it], and the ears of all the people [were attentive] to the book of the law.
