8: καθως γεγραπται εδωκεν αυτοις ο θεος πνευμα κατανυξεως οφθαλμους του μη βλεπειν και ωτα του μη ακουειν εως της σημερον ημερας
8: (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of
slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they
should not hear;) unto this day.
8: As it is written: God hath given them the spirit of insensibility;
eyes that they should not see and ears that they should not hear, until
this present day.
