Meaning "peaceful", "complete" (from a root word meaning: "to be perfect").
Several persons with this name occur in the Bible:
- Mother of a blasphemer, Lev 24:11;
- A son of Josiphiah of the descendants of Bani Ez 8:10 (the KJV is in error here!);
- A daughter of Zerubbabel, 1Chr 3:19;
- A son of Shimei, 1Chr 23:9;
- The chief of the caretakers of the treasures in the Tabernacle, 1Chr 26:25;
- A grandchild of king Solomon, 2Chr 11:20;
- A male descendant of the Levite Izhar, 1Chr 23:18.
