Identity

I did a first-pass merge of the content from Amraphel (Catholic Encyclopedia) and AMRAPHEL (Jewish Encyclopedia), basically organizing their content and rewording things here and there. I turned those original articles into redirects.

There was disagreement in the source articles (and external sources) about Amraphel's identity, with the Catholic Encyclopedia insisting it was Hammurabi, and the Jewish Encyclopedia claiming it was Nimrod. I toned both of them down to a more encyclopedic tone and left them in as alternative theories, however this section should probably be trimmed a bit in length. -Jevav 05:33, 9 February 2006 (GMT)

Other historical accomplishments

I removed this section, since it was a duplication of information found in the Hammurabi article. If Amrophel was indeed Hammurabi, these articles should probably be merged; if not, or if there's still doubt as to his identity, then there's no reason for stuff about Hammurabi to be in here. -Jevav 05:44, 9 February 2006 (GMT)

Very nice work. --TonyBowden 08:56, 9 February 2006 (GMT)
