Tell Hum

A significant archeological excavation about two miles south-west of where the Jordan River flows into the sea. It was located on the road from Damascus to Acco and Tyre, on the northwest shore of the Sea of Galilee, and was a fishing village established in the first century BCE. The population is estimated to have been about one thousand people. Capernaum - Nahum's town.
