Tob

Tob is a country east of the Jordan. Geographers are at variance as to its location: some place it Southwest of Soba; others, South of Gadara; others East of the bridge called Jisr Benât Yâkûb.

Jephthah fled to Tob after his brothers cast him out. While there, he gathered a group of men who followed him and assisted in battle when his brothers requested his help in resisting an Ammonite assault. (Judges 11)
